The birth of Romanticism is one of the starting points for the collections of modern paintings and sculpture. The great artistic movements of the 19th century Orientalism, Ingrism, Realism, Academism and Impressionism give tempo to the rooms and galleries in the former Jesuit college. We then see the arrival of Abstract art which dominates the end of the collections and consecrates the revival of painting in the early 20th century and up until contemporary times.
