Jeu de Paume Room

In this room, which holds paintings and antique sculpture casts from Fabre's epoch, are displayed several masterpieces of European art from 14th - 16th century.

Pietro da Rimini is an example of the dissemination of Giotto's work. The Renaissance is illustrated by Brescianino, Kempeneer and Jean Cousin, whose 'Charity' reveals the revival of French art centred on Fontainbleau.

Salviati and Allori represent the Florentine Mannerism movement whereas Bassano, Palma le Jeune and Véronèse show the vitality of the Venetian school.
