Rubens Room

This large gallery is devoted to Flemish art from the 17th century and divided into three sections. The early part of the century is evoked through the work of Breughel the Younger who continued the work of his father, Breughel the Elder. A large section is dedicated to Rubens and Baroque art (Daniel Seghers, Cornelis De Heem, Huysmans) and the series of nine paintings by David Teniers shows the predilection of Northern artists for scenes from daily life.
